Whitetail Golf Resort is for juniors! Again this year juniors will enjoy, new tees, new cart rules, junior clinics, junior camp and much more! Whitetail Golf Resort wants you to learn the game of golf so you may enjoy it the rest of your life.

 

take your son or daughter to the course week - july 6 - 11
Whitetail Golf Resort will be offering FREE GREEN FEES to juniors accompanied by a paying adult during the week of July 6-11 as part of “Take Your Junior to the Course Week,” a national player development program spearheaded by the National Golf Course Owners Association and promoted in coordination with The PGA of America. Don’t miss this great opportunity to play golf with your junior. We will also hold a FREE junior clinic on Thursday, July 8 at 6 pm. All are welcome. Join the fun!
  

junior tees
This year juniors have all new tee boxes on every hole. Just look for the green tee markers and that is where you will tee off. This will allow for juniors to have a tailored course that they can enjoy even more during their round. Also we have created a new score card for all juniors playing the new tees. Stop by the pro shop and grab the new score card before you head out to play your round.
 

junior cart rules
Golfers 16 years of age and older with a registered driver's license will be permitted to rent and drive a golf cart. Junior golfers age 14 years of age and older will be permitted to drive a golf cart when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
 

junior clinic - introduction to the golf swing - $40 per golfer - ages 3 to 8
Introduction to the Golf Swing is designed to stimulate the interest of the very young Junior Golfers.  Instruction will involve the very basic fundamentals - grip, stance, alignment and the motion of the golf swing from address position to the Hollywood finish. Our major objective is for our juniors to see the golf ball sailing through the air. Parent participation is a must. It is important for the parents to understand the instruction points, to help the junior when they are practicing together. The younger juniors that have participated in the past are encouraged to re-attend for continued reinforcement. We will provide clubs for juniors that do not have clubs. Payments may be made prior to the first day of class. Please call the Pro Shop to register. (717)328-4169.

junior clinic - the fundamentals of golf - $40 per golfer - ages 9 to 17
The Golf Fundamentals Clinic is dedicated to the basics. Each week the instructor will work and drill the juniors extensively on the basic fundamentals - grip, stance and alignment while working on all aspects of the game, covering full swing, chipping, pitching and putting. Instruction will be limited to the dates below. Clinics will only be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. Payment may be made prior to the first day of class. junior camp - $90 per golfer - ages 9 to 17
Camp week is designed to teach junior players the difference between a practice session and a warm up session. The five days of instruction are geared to prepare the juniors for the golf course. Four days of continuous practice to improve golf fundamentals of all aspects of the game and a day of on course instruction that will teach them course management. The Junior Camps are structured to provide instruction from PGA Professional in a challenging environment for youth golfers with intermediate skill levels; improve golf fundamentals, including Full Swing, Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Bunkers, Etiquette and the Rules of Golf.

family nights
Whitetail Golf Resort is the home of family golf. Are you looking to get your family out on the course for a great, low pressure, evening of golfing fun? Then Whitetail Golf Resort Family Nights are just for you! Enjoy a quick group tip from our PGA Professional before you head out for your 9 hole round. The course will be set up in a nice non-pressure format allowing never evers the chance to truly enjoy the game of golf. Our PGA Professional will also be cruising around the golf course offering tips and instruction throughout the evening. At the conclusion of your round enjoy a special treat on the back deck of the pro shop and some time to just relax with the family.
